Associate Professor Robert Myles has published a major new article in the Journal of Biblical Literature, the flagship journal in the field of biblical studies.
His article, “Soft Clothing Hard Jesus: Toughness and Class Conflict in Q 7:24-5,” offers deeper insight into how ideas of toughness and resilience influenced the historical early Jesus movement. By examining the social tensions of the period, the study highlights how questions of gender, identity, and class were being actively negotiated against the backdrop of a rapidly changing world.
Publication in the Journal of Biblical Literature represents a significant achievement and reflects the high calibre of research being produced at Wollaston Theological College.
